Ideas: I am thinking about how I can include the main body of my essay into the physical book. I am thinking that it will be there as a kind of introduction to the main body of the book. I want to set it aside as it has a different tone to the rest of the text and images which make up the book. I have made some first drafts. The text isn’t finished so these are rough ideas. I may landscape orientate the essay so that one is required to physically move the book back and forth between landscape and portrait to read the text, coinciding a physical change with the change in tone. I have deleted the images I had from the essay previously as some will be included in the book. I don’t want to move attention away from the imagery included in the book itself. In its place to punctuate the words I have experimented with drawing directly onto the document on Word. Using the mouse to draw makes the drawings naïve and inaccurate which seems to fit. They are similar in style to one another visually and perhaps the coloured line could guide the eye around the text?
Other ideas that I have in terms of the object of the book include loose pages and muti textural surfcaces/ cut out.
Every page idea I have currently I am printing out and preparing as a separate page. The selection and layout of the final book is then open until the end, nearer the time of completion.
