Studio day today…bloody freezing!

Made a bit more headway on the experimental pieces.

Placing my abstracted/intuitive pieces into interior and exterior spaces/places. The objects appear out of their usual setting, pots, and bottles, spheres all manmade functional items which appear displaced in the exterior landscape setting and abstracted mark making sitting in interior spaces questioning their form and seeking identity.

The most recent porcelain clay forms have taken on a figurative aesthetic. The method used creates hollow vessel like shapes which are looped back on themselves. Buckling under their own weight slumping and shifting as they dry. These pieces seem to sit well together.
